The ancient ruins is the setting for Submachine: Ancient Adventure. The area was also featured in Submachine 5: The Root and in the Submachine Universe.

Architecture

These ruins of an ancient temple are made of grey stones and slabs. Inside there are golden statues as well and many references to Egyptian culture.

Outside of the temple's ruins, there are two dragon statues that guard the doorway to the temple. The door can be opened by putting both dragon tongues into their own places. Light green grass grows outside the temple.

In the Submachine Universe, the exterior area extends to the right to include blue stone pillars and lights that are the same as the ones at the Root's entrance, as well as the edges of the screens made to set up the sky. (The HD version of Sub0 also includes this). A karma portal on the left side can be found leading to the resin temple.

The room behind the door has a different appearance than the one in Sub0: the ceiling is wooden, there's a thick layer of red resin on the floor, two horse statues identical to those in the Pony room, and a karma portal.

• This area has been featured in three different games, making it relatively popular in the series.
• This area was called the "temple" by fans before Submachine 9 was released.
