The corridor is a location that first appears in Submachine 5: The Root and then again in the Submachine Universe.

Architecture

Submachine 5

The corridor consists of a simple hallway with blue walls and a blue tiled floor. A mover can be found parked at one end. In Submachine 5, the main goal is to power up the mover and use it to travel to the Edge. A door can be found at the other end of the corridor, but it is blocked off by a cave-in.

The following signs are written on the wall:

« DORM               EDGE »

« LAB            CHARGER »

« PORTAL         MOVER »

This suggests that the lab in Submachine 5 is likely connected to the corridor.

Submachine Universe

The corridor re-appears in the Submachine Universe. The mover has departed, revealing an indent in the wall that contains a crimson key. Scratch marks on the wall and floor indicate where the mover was previously parked. The rubble in front of the door is also gone, allowing it to be opened with the key.

Hovering over the arrows on the wall reveal the letters G B H D E B. Using a simple letter-number substitution gives clues to the lucky room and the statue.

This image shows how the light dims in the endless corridor.

Through the door is a corridor that seemingly extends infinitely in either direction. There is a compass in the top left corner of each room that indicates how many rooms the player is away from the door, similar to the compass in the loop. The corridor gradually grows darker as the player travels down it until nothing is visible around room +/- 100. The reason for this infinite corridor is unknown.
