Could you please verify the validity of what the user "Windows95betatester" is describing in his alteration of Sub10's Trivia section? Since he made this alteration, I have played the game completely through three more times, with the ladder moved to docks 1, 2, and 4, and then going through the Lighthouse portal, etc. When I finally go down and out of the Captain's ship, I always get stuck on the hanging ladder...just as accurately described in the original Trivia entry. However, I am unable to then go back into the Captain's ship and locate the switch that repositions the ladder properly for my exit downward, as the new alteration to Trivia has described. (Although I have searched every pixel in the Captain's ship for the lever they are referring to, before exiting downward, and do not see it then, either.) Further, I never get the warning message for me to "Signal the docking ladder", that they are describing. I'm not implying that they are making something so incredibly detailed up, I am really mostly interested in seeing all of this happen in front of me. (Plus I am always on the hunt for Wiki inaccuracies, of course.) :) I did send Windows95betatester a polite message asking what version he is playing. (Although I am only aware of the one and only version that can be purchased....plus the one that can be played online, which is my next playthrough I suppose...) Thanks for shedding any light on this mystery! ~SDRanger~
Never mind....I just did a playthrough on Kongregate's upload of Sub10 and got the same result as in Windows95betatester's comments. I am amending all of Sub10 Trivia to reflect both version's behaviors. Thanks anyway. ~SDRanger~
This is just a random idea that I had, and it's not that fleshed out, but I wonder what it would be like to have a Discord server for the Wiki. I know there's the general notion that stuff concerning the Wiki should be discussed on the Wiki itself rather than offsite, but if the admins were to legitimize some sort of place that had a instant chat that anyone could look at and respond to in a few seconds rather than remembering to check the site every day, that might make for smoother conversations about edits. Plus Discord is an application that is widespread and people have open for other servers anyways.
I created a new forum account using SDRanger as my screenname. You were unclear about whether I could use the same screen name as I had attempted in the past or not, on the new account I'm creating. If I need to create an account using a screenname that wasn't attempted by me in the past, I'll gladly create another one with all the same info, but with SDRanger32 as my name instead...no sweat. I never got an activation key sent to my email, in the event I was supposed to. My guess is that is something that will occur when you clear my IP address for a forum membership. Thanks and just tell me what I need to do next, if anything. SDRanger
