The Nataraja room is a location in Submachine 9: The Temple.
Architecture[]
Hub[]
There is no visible wall or roof. The floor is constructed of gray and black tiles. A statue of Shiva depicted as Nataraja is in the center of the area, between the karma portal from the pyramid and the exit game button.
Room 1[]
The room is mainly red. The main feature in the room is the metal pedestal that holds the karma portal to the room, the first secret written on a tablet, and two candles. The room has a brass pipe passing from the left wall to the ceiling. The floor is made of dark red wood planks, in the style of the red section of the garden. There are 9 red plaques laying around. The walls are made of dark red bricks.
Room 2[]
This room is mainly blue. The walls are covered in blue tiles with inscriptions, in the same style as the upper areas of the pyramid; like in them, the room is lit by a single candle emitting a blue colored flame. The main feature in the room is the brass column that holds the second secret written on a tablet. There are also two vertical brass pipes on each side of the room. The karma portal is located inside the brass ring in the upper part of the room.
Room 3[]
The room is mainly brown. The walls, ceiling, and floor are made of dark brown bricks, in the style of the temple. The second secret is written on a tablet resting on top of the karma portal to the room. The main feature in the room is the metal pedestal that holds the karma portal to the room, the third secret written on a tablet, and two candles.
Room 4[]
This room is mainly grey. The floor is made of stone, and the center wall is covered in rectangular stone tiles, in the style of the lower section of the pyramid. One of the tiles is removed, and the gap holds a candle and the karma portal to the room. Part of the room is covered in black, which gives the impression that the player is seeing the room from behind a broken, unlit fourth wall. The main feature in the room is the brass column that holds the fourth secret written on a tablet.
Room 5[]
The room is mainly black, in the style of the Shiva section. There are no visible walls or ceiling, and the background is pitch black except for ten candles far away. The main feature in the room is the metal pedestal that holds the karma portal to the room, the fifth secret written on a tablet, and two candles.
Accessing and using the secrets[]
- Main article: Submachine 9: The Temple walkthrough#Secrets
In Submachine 9, there are five secrets that take the shape of small dark yellow spheres.
After the game is finished, there is an option where the player can continue playing. In the eighth layer, there is a secret area containing a karma portal to this location, that can be accessed through the red section of the pyramid.
The secrets can be put (in an ascending order) into four of Shiva's hands and one on his crown. Each placed secret opens up a green karma portal where the player can find each unlockable in the one-room locations described above.
