The Prince room is a location in Submachine Universe HD. The location was created to honour the passing of the music artist Prince. It is based on Prince's 1985 song "Purple Rain", and contains many references to the artist's career throughout.

Architecture

The lower left section is made of purple brick with Prince's "love symbol" on the wall that progressively disintegrates into the void. The location has two purple karma portals, two of three karma portals in the entire game franchise to not be green, blue or white (the other one being the karma portal in the infernal basement). To the right side pink wallpaper adorns the walls as well as a blue carpet on the floor. Multiple microphones hang from the ceiling, records are strewn across the floor, and other objects such as a Grammy award, a red chair, and Prince's "Symbol Guitar" are collected here. An ornate ladder leads up to the second level, which is a dome-like structure that matches the decor of the lower right side. Recording equipment covers most of the area, along with Prince's "Cloud Guitar" on the left side. An Oscar stands upon a table covered in orange carpet in reference to Prince's 1985 Oscar for "Purple Rain".

The two guitars in this location can be strummed to add two riffs to the audio.

Trivia

• This was the first room to be created on one of Mateusz Skutnik's YouTube live streams on the 24th of April 2016 that eventually made its way into the Submachine Universe. A full list of his digital drawing live stream videos can be found here.
• The location's karma portal coordinates "npg" most likely refers to the New Power Generation, one of the backing bands of Prince.
