The ruin ring is a location in Submachine Universe.

Architecture

The location's layout is very simple; the only observable part of the room is the floor, which is covered in small gray-green cobbles. The drop zone contains a large brass statue of the Hindu goddess Saraswati, with the karma portal located on her forehead.

The location is laid out as a collection of evenly spaced architectural elements in a circular path. The perspective of each screen is from within the circle formed and looking outwards.

Progressing to the left or the right, the player will encounter a fragment of a golden arch, a second arch that is smaller than the first with an arched base, and finally a small fragment of a golden support with a small circle carved in the top. The player will then reach a tiny structure consisting of a few bricks built in a pi-shaped (π) structure with a small mound on top. This structure is connected via a beam of karmic energy to a karma portal leading to the blue lever room. Upon continuing in the same direction, the same sequence of structures will be seen but in reverse order and in a mirrored orientation until reaching Saraswati again.

The only detail that separates the left and right "sides" from being completely identical, aside from being reflected, is that the first structure on Saraswati's left-hand side contains a code plate on the base.
