Can we add this?[]
Well, if Sub 8 is coming 2011, since 3/4 of the year is at September 30th/October 1st, people could begin to ask when it's coming out by that time. I don't think I counted the days in 2010, but even so... -71.136.41.163 23:19, August 28, 2011 (UTC)
- I don't think that is advisable. Mateusz obviously and openly despices the fact people pester him with that question. Ergo, a bad idea. Further more, Mateusz is working on Aurora 2 and the Covert Front. Anteroinen1 14:16, August 29, 2011 (UTC)
End of February[]
5 days left. Do you think it's really going to be made this month? I'm starting to wonder if there even WILL be a sub8... --{{SUBST:User:Mocha2007andcoco/signature}} 20:55, February 23, 2012 (UTC)
Of course there will be! The author already has the story and the music, maybe in March it will be ready, but he also wants to do Covert Front 4 and Daymare Town 4 and we don't know what order will they be launched, but take for granted they will be this year. Vortex2 21:08, February 23, 2012 (UTC)
Before June 2012[]
The author plans to have Sub8 released before June 2012 - can we have a reference for this please?
92.23.187.77 12:27, March 11, 2012 (UTC)
The author replied to a post that I made on Facebook, where I suggested that the release planning for his games is CF4 -> Sub8 -> DMT4 ->| June, and confirmed the estimate. However, he regularly deletes posts asking when will a game be released, so probably there isn't a reference anymore.

Oh, I couldn't find them with the new layout.
Thanks Gemini :) adding reference.

This game isn't going to happen for another decade[]
Using the current progress, and the fact that it's been 503 (Now 504) days, a good estimate would be June...
June 10, 2022, that is.
503/0.12= 3688.6666666666666666666666666667 (Round up to 3689).
Thanks to a handy utility from here, I can safely say that if progress continues at this rate, everyone will forget submachine even existed by the time Sub 8 comes out.
I was actually SHOCKED at how low the progress was, I figured at LEAST 50%.

^Man, you're forgetting such a little but astronomically important detail: the progress bar, as it says in the dev page, started at April 10th of 2012, it hasn't been there for 504 days. Look another time and you'll see.
April 10th is the date when Mateusz started working on Submachine. Until this date, he hadn't done NOTHING ABOUT the game.

Plan[]
So, why you think that the plan is just a banal plan to escape from subnet or Mur plan to find people? Its so stupid for submachine series. In a note written "great scheme of things", im 90% sure that about plan. And about "title that is not a place", what if sub8 will have many location like New basement but different? And we're really going to plan?--Bloodhit 13:18, May 16, 2012 (UTC)
I agree with you, Bloodhit, the Plan could be a blueprint type of plan, or the name of a new location (or both things! why not?). The Loop word, for example, doesn't suggest me a location at first, but a computer program or a curl. But it has turned out to be a location. What makes us think that Mateusz has discontinued his tradition? Vortex2 15:41, May 16, 2012 (UTC)
I have kind of thought like that since the beginning, but what it says on the page wasn't blatantly wrong because we don't know, so I left it there, because I was lazy. Anteroinen1 20:47, May 17, 2012 (UTC)
Coming out soon[]
I'm pretty sure it's coming out next month! (in september)

Maps[]
Can anyone add images of Submachine 8 maps?? (Please upload complete maps of all 7 layers, not just one room.) 108.223.169.95 15:57, September 28, 2012 (UTC)
8 layers???[]
Anyone notice it looks like a button for an eigth layer used to exist on the device? I guess it's possible thats how they know there are 7 layers though...208.102.243.92 04:52, October 3, 2012 (UTC)
Location names[]
Can we change the names of locations like "The Cog Trees" to the names in the downloadable soundtrack? According to the track names in the soundtrack, the layers of Sub8 are The Bay, The Church, The Ruin, The Sewer, The Temple, The Fort, and The Solitude. 198.30.180.96 16:37, October 11, 2012 (UTC)
That was already discussed in the forum, and we chose to keep our proposed names, because some of the track names aren't representative of the locations and some others would cause a conflict with already chosen names (The Sewer vs. The Sewers (Sub2), The Church vs. The Church (SNEE), The Temple vs. The Temple (Sub9's location), the Ruin vs. Ancient Ruins, etc.). However, we tried to include the track names for most locations, with an adjective added to avoid conflicts (Cardinal Church, Large Sewers, etc.) or more descriptive of what is in the location. We chose it as a consensus, so some people may not be satisfied with it (for example I'm not satisfied with a couple of them), but we decided we should keep them for now unless someone has an idea that improves the names without causing conflicts. Vortex2 (talk) 16:46, October 11, 2012 (UTC)
You ever heard of a disambiguation page, vortex? lol. That's what I proposed on the forum, but nobody seemed to care for it. I've been thinking of doing that, just renaming the pages and any that match other submachine locations add a disambiguation page for them. Sincaral (talk) 18:39, October 11, 2012 (UTC)
I personally don't like unnecessary disambiguation pages. Anyways, if we have the option to choose two different names for two different locations, why choose the exact same name for both?
I am however fine with having a disambiguation page for locations with similar names, like the Ship and Liz's Ship. For example, we could do one for the Church/Cardinal Church.
EDIT: anyway, I'm in favor of changing all the names once the tracks for all the previous games get published (it looks like Mateusz plans doing that in the future). Vortex2 (talk) 18:56, October 11, 2012 (UTC)
Submachine 0 location: Ancient Ruins, Ancient Temple, Ruined Temple. Sincaral (talk) 19:39, October 11, 2012 (UTC)
Three names for one location? Why? XD Vortex2 (talk) 20:31, October 11, 2012 (UTC)
Because 0 isn't a number.
No, its three suggested names for Submachine 0. Sincaral (talk) 23:30, October 11, 2012 (UTC)
Well, I like much more the first two. Why? Because there's a lot of concordance with another names: Sub0 the Ancient Adventure, the Ancient Section, the Ancient Room, the Ancient Crystal of Wisdom... so I'd go with Ancient Ruins or Ancient Temple. I already changed every instance of it to Ancient Ruins, but I can change it again to Ancient Temple if you all think it's better. Vortex2 (talk) 08:10, October 12, 2012 (UTC)
