renaming comment[]
- Well then, please move it if you're one of the users who can move pages (this goes for anyone who reads this.) Also please add an image revealing the phrase "To be continued in Submachine 9: The Temple" from the end of Submachine 8. 108.223.169.95 15:45, September 28, 2012 (UTC)
Done renaming :) Also I'm working in getting some images. You all can help. Remember to upload them in PNG format, and if it's a scene, in 300x300px. Vortex2 (talk) 16:00, September 28, 2012 (UTC)

Temple Story[]
So... We were just teleported here by a magical door. Actually pretty simple and believable for a game like Submachine. So what do you think will happen in this one?\

- What an involved storyline in this sucker of a game...of course your question is answered merely by playing it. I was wondering what the final screen shows at the end though...<spoiler alert>... some of the light particles converge at that point, so in addition to being a teleportation device, could this bundle of energy lines also be another reference to The Knot? Is Sub10 going to be another huge convergence of the Layers where Mur reached the climax of his journey? Maybe that seems pretty far-fetched, but do remember that it's Submachine we're talking about here...Error 3113 (talk) 00:02, March 26, 2014 (UTC)
The Three Rods Mystery[]
Anyone else notice the three rods that appear in each of the secret rooms? Always three; no more, no less. They also appear in another room in the Water Pantheon. Any theories to why they are there? Ive searched the net (the INTERnet, that is, not the SUBnet) for any possible connection to Hinduism or anything else. Nothing.
Any explanations for their appearance?

- I'm not sure about the rods themselves, but the number 3 has quite a significance in Hinduism - the "three forms" principal embodies the three cosmic functions and their personifications: Creation (Brahma), preservation (Vishnu), and destruction (Shiva) - hey look, Shiva! That's the only connection I can make, though. They're probably just random scenery. Lorre R1 (talk) 21:44, March 24, 2014 (UTC)
Yes, you are completely correct in the number 3 being totally central to Hinduism (of course you are). Maybe that's what Mateusz is hinting to here; that the power of the three "forms" resides in each of the secret rooms. How secretive and mysterious, not to mention appropriate.
I'm not going to tell you how much time I spent Google-searching "significance of 3 staffs", "3 rods in Hinduism", and the like. It seems that staffs, rods, or otherwise important sticks seem to be pretty solid and resolved in religions (like Aaron's iin the Bible), so it would make sense that each form could embody one of these shiny bronze staffs.
Or Mateusz just threw them in there to make us wildly speculate about it for no reason at all. :)

Slowing down[]
I have no idea if/when this will be seen, or if help can be found (gee, what a familiar feeling within the Submachine...), but I've have a somewhat major problem with slowdown in 9, and somewhat in a few other games. In The Temple, in particular, the biggest lag spikes, as it were, occur near and around the temple itself. I've seen the game played on a friend's computer with zero issues, which is when I realized maybe I'm experiencing something abnormal. Is this a known issue with a known fix? I haven't been able to turn up any answers on my own.
I'm on a Windows machine, with up-to-date Flash. I noticed the issue way back near when the game was released, and chalked it up to needing a bit of play-testing to sift out problems. But having now bought the HD version, still experiencing the issue, I'm a bit at a loss for what to do. Halp?66.153.252.87 05:35, May 27, 2015 (UTC)
Hm. Woulda thought 4GB of ram woulda been sufficient. Suppose maybe probably a CPU issue then. Think it's just a single core processor (intel i7), maybe just doesn't have enough power. Good to know for new computer shopping. Odd, since I can run other fairly big games just fine (if the Portal games or maybe minecraft count as "big"). But, Flash, so, different things to deal with. 66.153.252.87 02:20, May 28, 2015 (UTC)
I'm experiencing this lag as well. I use a Windows 8.1 Dell Inspiron 15R laptop with 6GB Ram and an intel graphics card - which I'm told is terrible at running hi-res games. Even in my HD copy of Submachine 9, I still see lag, particularly around the heavily detailed portions of the Temple proper, like the half-bured roof or the catacombs. I have no idea why this is, I'm inclined to blame it on the engine itself...Float, was it? I am surprised that nobody in beta-testing ever told Mateusz Skutnik about this though. Although in my case I just ignore it, it's not like how slow this would be on the separate Windows XP desktop I keep explicitly to run CD-based games older than 2005. Still, this is very strange in such a modern piece of software. Wanderer99 (talk) 03:57, June 1, 2015 (UTC)
Same with me, except I was expecting it. Windows Vista with only integrated chipset and not enough RAM for anything. It lags in the same sections both online and in HD. It runs fine on my friend's super-awesome computer, but you can even notice it on his a little bit. He runs AMD Radeon I think. (Idk if graphics cards play a role, I'm not that tech-savvy, but he said that stuff could make a difference) Error 3113 (talk) 00:18, June 2, 2015 (UTC)
