Important items and objects[]
Just wondering whether or not we should create a category for important items and objects, due to the fact that they have no category currently fitting for them.Bluri 19:57, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
Yes, please do. Marbles! 01:04, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
I think we should add a category for locations too. Danaroth 06:51, 17 April 2009 (UTC)
Just a thought...[]
Since this wikia is dedicated to Submachine, do you guys think that we should put together a little interview for Mateusz Skutnik, and then upload it into the wikia? We could write several questions about what gave him the idea of a submachine, how long it takes him to make a submachine game, etc. and email it to him. Whenever he has the time, he could email the answers back to us and we could post them. What are your opinions??? Robobrain 01:07, 17 February 2009 (UTC)
Right now I think he's pretty busy, but if we wait until CF3 comes out, he'll probably be willing. Marbles! 02:41, 17 February 2009 (UTC)
Yeah you're right Marbles. I mean he even missed his own "due date" for Sub6 (saying he would hopefully had it done before the end of 2008) from working on CF3. After all this time I think that he is just making it extra great, after all, all of the CF games have been good. After he does release CF3 t, we should make an interview for him from the "official" wikipedia dedicated to his series. ;) Robobrain 02:58, 17 February 2009 (UTC)
Maybe for now we could just add some of his notable post from the forums, since they could be used as a good reference Danaroth 06:53, 17 April 2009 (UTC)
We could. I think he would be close to finishing CF3 right now. After he is finished with CF3 I might wait for Sub6 to come out, or I may write an 'interview' and submit it to Mateusz. Robobrain 07:09, 17 April 2009 (UTC)
About the interview. Yeah; we could talk to submit him the interesting question each of us would like to be answered :P Oh and I'm ordering his sub-related forum posts so that we can have an archive; not sure if I should make a new article here to put them on. (They are like 40 post from the old forum pretty much and dunno about the new one). The old forum could be deleted at any moment so it could be good to record :P Danaroth 19:56, 25 April 2009 (UTC)
I was going to be the one to try to write the questions for the interview since it was my idea. I was just waiting for him to release Sub6 (which would mean he would have calmed down after finishing Covert Front 3 and Sub6...). I am going to create an "Interview for Mateusz" page that you guys can add questions you would like for him to answer. We are then going to take the best ideas (we don't wanna give him too many random questions to answer), and they don't have to be only about Submachine since it is just an author interview. I just got this idea while typing: We should email Mateusz our interview and he can answer us back a little before the release of Sub6. Then we can post the interview on here with the release of Sub6! (Maybe Marbles should know the release date as admin a few days prior. Only he should know it so that it doesn't leak or something, if Mateusz wants it to be a secret surprise... :D). Then we post it with the release and voila! Robobrain 20:42, 25 April 2009 (UTC)
Well I'm not that sure if an interview to the author for a Sub wiki should take subjects that goes too far from Sub games; I'd stay on general questions (realization and technical side) and on Sub world anyway; I mean no particular questions on other games :P Danaroth 08:25, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
Well we aren't having an interview about Submachine, but actually having an interview of the author. I agree that we shouldn't have too many questions about his other games, but we should ask a little because it is something he works on... Lets just add any questions we have and we can pick the ones we all like and reject the others. Robobrain 18:34, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
sorry we have an interview too instead of via e-mail ve gonna chat via skype video so that everyone known it real or not Jomar Mendoza 01:48, February 14, 2011 (UTC)
Lag[]
Is it just me, or has the wiki been lagging like crazy? Sometimes it doesn't open pages and I have to reload. This is really frustrating especially when I am editing. Has anyone else experienced this, or is it probably my comp/internet connection? Robobrain 01:57, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
Formatting[]
My original format change before marbles was what the default "look" of a main page "should" be according to Wikia. I just need to find a way to manually establish the column borders. I am going to revert it to that because it looks a little bit better than with a huge gaping hole in the middle. I will try to fix it eventually when I have more time. Robobrain 19:26, 10 April 2009 (UTC)
Presentation Messages[]
I'd like to add the presentation messages by Mateusz Skutnik for the Submachine games, since they coul be used as a good reference. I don't know if it would be better to create a new page (presentation messages) or add them in the single game page. I'd vote the first, so, if I already create it, delete the page if you disagree ^^ Danaroth 09:49, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
I'm fine with that, Danaroth. Marbles! 23:14, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
New Skin[]
Aaargh! My eyes! They are bleeding! Well, not really... Marbles, I'm ok with you changing the skin, but the difference in colors is a little heavy on the eyes after a while (I know I can change my preferences, but think about someone new to the wiki. We don't want to give them a seizure right?). Actually, you cannot even read any text that is black. You can only read the text that is in lighter colors (like the blue hyperlinks). Robobrain 03:29, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
I'm just experimenting. How about now? Marbles!
- I think the whole problem is with the gaming skin. It makes the background dark blue and most of the text impossible to read. When I was looking through my preferences, Monaco brick looked alright where the background was kept white. Try to change the skin so that the background stays white. (BTW to look at the default skin you set for the wiki, I had to log out, then clear my cache, and then reload the page, or I could look at the home page through my itouch. Try the first method, or use a second comp to see what the default is and try to fix it so that it is readable.) Robobrain
- I can't say I dislike it anyway. Danaroth 19:57, 25 April 2009 (UTC)
- You can always change your preferences to something else Danaroth. Robobrain 20:37, 25 April 2009 (UTC)
Voting[]
It's not really clear how we should vote on theories in the main page message. Better be more precise ^^ Danaroth 07:39, 25 April 2009 (UTC)
Oh I see now there are descriptions too XD ok, make it as I never asked that Danaroth 08:10, 25 April 2009 (UTC)
I'd propose to never close the voting section anyway and just assign the Un,Do,SA,Li status in base on the majority (not just as soon as it takes 3 votes) Danaroth 14:24, 25 April 2009 (UTC)
- I agree with Danaroth, we should just keep the voting section open for others to vote. If one of the votes exceeds the others (with lets say the release of Sub6) then we can change it. We should take the names off of the main page, but leave the voting sections open on each theory page, and leave the message about voting on. Robobrain
- I also think that we should make it more than 3 votes. Since it is Marbles, Danaroth, and I who primarily edit the wiki, there is our 3 votes. If we have it to like 5, or 10 (the latter will be a little harder to get to but...) then we can have more people outside of the wiki vote (I am still working on getting the word out on the forum). Robobrain
I am going to go to the theories page and ad Un (unconfirmed) next to all of the theories while still retaining the original status we still have. Robobrain 18:37, 25 April 2009 (UTC)
I'd just leave what the majority thinks there, but leave the voting opened in the future too would be good; also people could edit some of their theories to make it easier to read and more direct (some of them are unbeareably long; mine too since it was originally a forum post doesn't actually fit in a wiki :( ); I'd say to leave the 3 voting system for the first period of green votations and then open up votations again for the casual editor or forum poster Danaroth
Danaroth, Robobrain, I appreciate your work on the "Forum Posts" page, but you didn't really need to do all of that work - I already looked those up and posted them on the forum a few months ago! Marbles! 04:53, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
Well wiki userd may be different from the ones on the forum ^^ Also I needed some of them to use as reference in some article Danaroth 09:15, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
Wiki Logo Issue[]
Is the fact that Tile A is missing intentional? I'm curious as to why a tile was left out, and why Tile A.--Mrpeople1984 21:00, 28 June 2009 (UTC)
Wikia Skins[]
Marbles do you know what happened to the wiki skins? All of them are showing up as the original colors (the blue and white)? Robobrain 21:08, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
I just noticed that, and as I haven't gotten a message from Wiki Central, I'll try to change it back. Marbles! 00:27, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
What happend to the wikia its all blue and white... --12vegeta12 15:12, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
Levels[]
Is it really necessary to have a page for every single level of Sub3? I mean, we already have a walkthrough to it, can't we just have a redirect to the walkthrough? Robobrain 21:09, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
Odd Poll[]
There is a rather odd outlying poll at the bottom of the main page. Anyone know what it is?

About Covert Front Wiki[]
Could you do an achievements system like the one in Covert Front Wiki? RuloCore 16:42, February 13, 2011 (UTC)
Begin IMHO: To me that would seem like it would encourage spam/vandalism just to earn a badge. I can only see chaos in that direction. Constructing a wiki valuable to the community at large is not a game. End IMHO. Momruoy 23:54, February 18, 2011 (UTC)
Mateusz Skutnik Article[]
I just came here to say that you could add in the main page that the Mateusz Skutnik article has been created on es-Wikipedia. Here
- -- FedericoF talk contribuctions twitter 16:11, February 18, 2011 (UTC)
- I created one in English, as you see on the Main Page.

I was thinking maybe we should have some basic links to help people enter into the wiki, that way they don't have to go blind jumping in...
- Should we add walkthrough pages instead of putting them with the main page? Bluri 21:27, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
- Maybe... you decide. Marbles! 21:29, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
So...will anything be done about this? I'd be happy to put a quick navigator in, kind of like the one in the main games category page, but one that's user friendly. Momruoy 16:38, February 10, 2011 (UTC)
I've been toying with this in the sandbox under REDX36's guidance. He's currently checking with wikia staff to see if anything like this is possible, because currently it looks like it's not. We're waiting to hear back, but it looks impossible. Should we just put a regular Navbox up under the "Welcome" banner?Momruoy 20:24, February 13, 2011 (UTC)
Semi-Protection[]
Maybe we should semi-protect the Main page so vandels cant edit it. Not fully protecting it, just semi-protecting.
23:47, February 19, 2011 (UTC)
agreeI think the same.
- -- FedericoF Talk contribuctions email 00:22, February 20, 2011 (UTC)
Comment Removal[]
This might sound strange as doing this would remove a lot of bytes from the page, but I was thinking, maybe we should remove all the comments in the main page. Doing so would allow us to edit in rich text mode, which is a lot easier than in code view.
18:24, February 28, 2011 (UTC)
New skin and main page[]
Wow, the new grey and light blue theme is excellent. The gallery in the main page is great too. Congratulations to the designer.

An idea[]
right now, im trying to get an acount on wika,but it keeps saying we can't register you at this time
anyway, looking through the SNEE page, something hit me.
to get to some locations in SNEE, you gather numbers from similar looking planels and order them by using the lights on the bottom of the planel.i think we should make a page on that,something like the light panel puzzle or something.I don't want to go off making a whole other page without some support from the admins, so anyone willing to help?
(NOTE: this might be one of the only new things until more submachine 8 rumors come popping up, so this is a good chance for the admins who are getting bored)
Currently wanted[]
Why are there news in the currently wanted section?
I've replaced some low quality pictures of items from Sub 5 with HD ones. Tell me if there are more pictures of items and objects that should be replaced.

January Poll[]
It misses one option: Submachine. In this case, I will vote Reality/Existence, but I don't think so.
PD: I'm RuloCore, but omehow offline, don't know why.
Content icons[]
The current content icons of the Main Page (for the Series, Characters, Locations, Theories, etc.) look a little misshapen and pixelated. I suppose they were made when the background was white, but now some white pixels of the borders contrast with the dark background. Also some circles are taller than others.
They are very well done, but they have these minimal issues. I think we should redo at least the Secrets and the Notes ones, because they have the most amount of white pixels.
In the Spanish wiki I solved this creating another set of icons inspired by these, similar to those of the Daymare Town Wiki. If you agree with it, I could put them in here (but the "Áreas" (locations) animation needs a javascript code to work). If you think it's unnecessary to do anything, then I will leave them as they are.
Thanks and sorry for my English. Vortex2 14:26, February 7, 2012 (UTC)
- That's a great idea, just replace the old icons instead of uploading new ones, and tell me the javascript I must upload.
- REDX36, 14:43, February 7, 2012 (UTC)
Ok :) here is the code (if you can you can improve it, I'm not very good at programming), it has to be put on MediaWiki:common.js.
var dr1 = ""
var dr2 = ""
function onloadhookcustom3() {
var replace = document.getElementById("animgif");
if (null != replace) { replace.innerHTML='<a href="http://es.submachine.wikia.com/wiki/%C3%81reas">img alt="Áreas" width=100 height=100 src="" onmouseover="this.src=dr2" onmouseout="this.src=dr1"></a>'; }
}
if (window.addEventListener) window.addEventListener("load",onloadhookcustom3,false); else if (window.attachEvent) window.attachEvent("onload",onloadhookcustom3);
It doesn't work... Maybe it's that you have added the function onloadhookcustom2 (the sub0 prezi map) that is not declared in your common.js and that makes the interpreter stop. Vortex2 18:42, February 7, 2012 (UTC)
Oh I forgot: would you want momruoy to do a slider similar to the one in the main page but in French? If so, please post the translation in the PastelForum thread. thanks!Vortex2 21:28, February 7, 2012 (UTC)

Covert Front and the Submachine[]
I have just finished CF4 and I discovered that Karl Von Toten actually created the Submachine!
If you don't believe me, go finish it for yourself.
So, this all started with von Toten. This means we will meet Kara and Toten in next Submachines?
Are we actually playing as one of them?
Are Liz and Murtaugh nicknames of Kara and von Toten?
Discuss.

Why are there not pages on the wiki regarding Covert Front and Von Toten? SolarSystem (talk) 13:46, March 23, 2015 (UTC)
- We mention Covert Front on Cultural influences in the Submachine series#Covert Front series and we have a whole wiki devoted to it. IIRC Mateusz explicitly stated that the Covert Front and Submachine universes are not connected (citation needed), but if you feel like it warrants its own page, go for it. New color scheme for the Wiki[]
As is tradition, with the release of each new Submachine game we change the color scheme to match the game. Right now it's dark yellow (Sub9). Before it was light green (Sub8, see the Chinese wiki) and cyan blue (Sub7, see the Spanish wiki). For this game, after a discussion with forum users, we have proposed that the color scheme for Submachine 10 will be white with a hint of purple (the HTML color can be for example lavender). The links will of course be darker and more saturated in this case, to improve contrast.
This will affect the color of links, of the main page headings, and of all templates, tabbers, progress bars and a few more stuff. Do you guys agree with these changes? Vortex2 (talk) 20:27, December 26, 2015 (UTC)
Can you point me to the discussion? Error 3113 (talk) 22:16, December 26, 2015 (UTC)

Discord discussions[]
As of a couple of weeks ago, the Discord community is continuing an old tradition: discussions. Me and a few others have discussed a couple of theories. Here is the schedule for the discussions if anyone is interested:
Every Saturday from 11 AM to 12 PM EST. A minimum of 3-4 people should be at each discussion. Any members, new or experienced, are always welcome to discuss with the community.
The discussion will still be held on Discord so if you want to be part of this, but aren't in the Discord, click this link to join:https://discordapp.com/invite/5Zhv77
Apocrypha will stream the discussions whenever he is available.

Past versions of rooms[]
Due to recent removal of maps from "Twins room", it has come to my attention that older maps of rooms that have been changed have not been kept in general. In opinion this has been a grave error on behalf of the Wiki, and the situation should be amended as quickly as possible. We are THE Submachine Wiki, and we are the place where people come to look for this stuff. We should absolutely have it as far as I am concerned.
Opinions?Anteroinen1 (talk) 14:35, November 7, 2017 (UTC)
- This is not necessarily true. They have just not been available as separate files under different file names like they have with 523. Go into any map and you'll see its history on the file page.
- If you want things to be uniform but also saved, I would recommending deleting all files associated with the 523 map, keep one known as "File:523 map.png" and just upload a lot of new versions with comments on each one. Simple. Jatsko (talk) 14:39, November 7, 2017 (UTC)
- In my opinion this is not a sufficient prominence given to the history of the rooms. It is something, but I think this information needn't be so complicated to access.Anteroinen1 (talk) 14:52, November 7, 2017 (UTC)
- Is it complicated, though? I've got all the 523 maps in, like, two clicks. Phragmites (talk) 18:47, November 8, 2017 (UTC)

Karma Portal Locations[]
Should we capitalize all letters? How should we name them? Should we use another name than the 3 letter acronym since it's just a coordinate?
Rever Man (talk) 22:28, January 30, 2018 (UTC)
- Karma portal locations with pages that just consist of three letters haven't been named yet and have ongoing discussions on their talk pages. Only the first letter is capitalized to make it easier to search for that location page. Jatsko (talk) 01:32, January 31, 2018 (UTC)

kinda feel weird about the wiki not also being polish.
because the developer is polish.
- If someone knows Polish and wants to make a Polish Wiki, they have the means to do so. I don't see a problem. Jatsko (talk) 18:10, February 3, 2018 (UTC)
Connection Pod Thoughts[]
I decided to join a conversation about the nature of the connection pod on the Discord. I argued against the fact that the player actually goes into the system. That seems impossible. We aren't a robot. Instead, I pointed to the lens on the pod, and made the claim that it was concave lens that was used to PROJECT the system to the player. From there, it could be interacted with like a touchpad: clicking left would be like swiping right, clicking right would be swiping left, clicking down would be swiping up, clicking up would be swiping down, and clicking switches and other interactables would be equivalent to tapping them. Clicking the connection pod within the system would be like ejecting a flash drive.
If you have any thoughts about this claim, Feel free to comment, and I will answer questions! MorrisDay1999 (talk) 02:01, June 21, 2018 (UTC)
Monthly Survey[]
I was thinking that it would not be nice if we add a monthly survey on the main page? because it would be nice to know for example what is the favorite game of users of the main series let me know what you think

Light mode problem[]
Some text in light mode is hard to read, I think the admin should customize this wiki's look by visiting the Theme Designer. I am the Users (talk) 08:41, 26 August 2021 (UTC)
Is any admin here? I feel that this wiki is really really quiet..
edit: anyone here?!
- I took a look at the theme designer and made a few adjustments so the top navigation looks better. Infoboxes, navboxes, etc. are controlled by central .CSS which is not responsive to changes between dark and light mode. It's left over from before the big style switch that Fandom made across the entire site. I have not, nor will have, time to re-learn everything to make an appropriate fix. You can try contacting Rever Man and see if they can take the time to help you out. Apocryphactor (admin) 21:06, 6 September 2021 (UTC)
